milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Hotel Interior

The Landing Point

“Built in 1933, Clifford Pier was a landing point for immigrants and other sea passengers. The Landing Point derives its name as it signifies the long passage way the early settlers took upon setting foot at the pier.”

Elegantly positioned alongside an impressive indoor promenade paved in bespoke marble mosaics, The Landing Point is the gourmand’s lounge du jour. Designed in hues of gold; indulge in signature cocktails as you engage in the waterfront panorama.

Designed to captivate the sophisticated chic, the majestic 13-metre long bar is the ideal venue to see and be seen, serving chic comfort food interpreted through classic dishes. Enjoy a carefully selected variety of organic salads, delicious sandwiches and local Asian favourites, or delight in an exquisite Afternoon Tea served daily.

The Landing Point is open daily:
  • 7.00am to 12.00am (Sunday to Thursday)
  • 7.00am to 1.00am (Friday to Saturday)

Then we start meddling with Sam's new detachable fisheye lens for mobile phone

Food selections were served on a 3-tier tray & are refillable. The servers will bring trays of the more popular items around & asked if you'ld like to refill.

haha.. me & Sam caught snapping the of the food

On the top tier - Madeleine, Cinnamon Creme Brulee Choc Tart;
Hazelnut Cream Choux Pastry, Orange Choco Opera Cake

 The Cinnamon Creme Brulee Choc Tart is nice, but they don't come around offering it for refill. You will need to ask them for more! However, when they refill it, it was served chilled & the tart was a little hard. I prefer it to be served in room temperature. Sweetness of the Hazelnut Cream Chouz Pastry is just nice for me & somehow it taste a little like peanut butter.. lol .. Didn't try the Orange Choco Opera Cake & the Madeleine thou..

Middle tier - Smoke Salmon, Cucumber Sandwiches;
Egg Mayo Toast, Cheese Biscuit, Parma Ham Burger;
Salmon Cone, Onion Quiche, Turkey Wrap

I like the Smoke Salmon Sandwich, Egg Mayo Toast, Salmon Cone, Onion Quiche & Turkey Wrap. We also have it refill a couple of times. Cucumber Sandwich is the only item we didn't refill it. I took a bite of the Parma Ham burger, & realize there's cheese in it, so I remove it & continue biting.. lol

Bottom Tier - Christmas Fruit Cake, Butter Cookie;
Cinnamon Macaroon, Mince Pie

I didn't try the Cinnamon Macaroon cos I don't fancy them. Didn't try the Christmas Cake cos I don't like raisin. Mince Pie was terribly sweet & I only ate 1/4 of it. The item I finish it off was the Butter Cookie

raspberry cream cake in a shot glass, mont blanc cake and mini choc log cake were served halfway tru the session. We're almost filled to the brim already, so we only took 1 each for sharing & photo-taking purpose

I also ordered a Iced Fruit Blend Tea before we leave. In fact, all the tea offered on the menu can be served chilled.

Group Pix before we leave

Few more snaps at the Hotel Lobby

Overview of the Hotel from another angle.

Sky looks gloomy.. but it's definitely not End of The World!
