The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Hi-Tea @ The Landing Point

It's Mother's Day weekend and so together with Angeline & Sam, we decided to go for hitea. The initial plan was to go for durian dessert buffet at Goodwood Park Hotel but it was only available from 30 May 15. Thus, we end up going back to The Landing Point
As it's Mother's Day weekend, there are more sweets than savory. Items were served on a 3-tier tray, and are refillableStaff who brought out our food did not explain what are the items that were being served. Luckily Sam managed to download a copy of the menu online, so we know exactly what we're consumingTop tier: Mini Cupcake & Chocolate Cream, Double Flavored Macaron and Crème Brulee tartlet.Carrot Cake & Lemon Cheese Frosting, Mother’s Love Chocolates Middle tier - Purple Potato with Ricotta on Saffron Roll, Smoked Duck Mango Salsa on Semi-Dried Roll, Herb Brie Cheese on Hazelnut Cracker & Mini Salmon QuicheSemi-Dried Tomato with Mayo Cucumber Sandwich, Truffle Egg Sandwich and Smoked Salmon SandwichBottom tier - , Chocolate Opera Cake, Pistachio Financier and Rose Chocolate Mousse Cake.Coconut & Mango Cake, Kueh Lapis Cake, Lime Tart topped with Fresh BlueberriesOur initial order of drinks took close to 30 mins to be served, and it was after several reminders.
Although all items are refillable, it took the staff couple of reminders for them to bring us our order and every time they bring our order, it wasn't complete. Staff seems to bypass our table after serving the table on our left. It was quite difficult to get attention of the staffs also.
Second serving of drinks were served slightly faster as the staff who took our drinks order this time round wrote down our orderTowards the end of the session, we saw a staff bringing out a tray of special order that was not on the menu, serving to the table on our left. However, when we tried to get her attention to check what is on the serving tray, she just walked past us without even giving us a glance.
When we finally get hold the staff who took order for our drinks and voiced our disappointment to him, he managed to get us a couple of the special item ~ The Mini Lobster Tartlet, which is not featured on the menu.

A lady then came to explain to us that due to item is not featured on the menu, it will only be offered to diners with dietary request. The reason why we were disappointed was not because we were not being served with the featured item. We were more displeased that most of the staffs bypass us every time after serving the table on our left.

Service was slightly disappointing as compared to our visit back in Dec 2012. Hopefully when we re-visit again, service will be better =)
A wefie before we leave =)
